Mumbai: Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray said on Sunday that he would do everything to ensure his party`s victory in the Dadar assembly constituency.
"I will move heaven and earth to ensure that Shiv Sena wins the Dadar assembly constituency," party president Uddhav Thackeray said.

"This is a promise I gave my father late Balasaheb Thackeray. Come what may, I will ensure that the Sena regains the Dadar constituency," Uddhav said at a public interaction in Dadar.

Assembly elections in Maharashtra are due next year.

In a veiled reference to estranged cousin and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray`s criticism of his clap remark, Uddhav said, "Now I am afraid to clap with anyone."

To a query on whether the warring cousins could come together, Uddhav had said, "one cannot clap with a single hand. Tell me, can you?"
