Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday said the state has immense scope for investment and his government will expedite issuing of licenses to set up industries.

Interacting with a delegation from the US consulate, headed by consular general Thomas Wajda, Fadnavis said he would initiate continuous dialogue with investors to bring in foreign investment and create awareness that Maharashtra is an investor-friendly state.

Potential investors would be informed about the ongoing projects and future opportunities, he said.

Wajda said the United States wants to strengthen economic ties with Maharashtra, and suggested that an officer should be designated to coordinate with investors which could reduce the red-tapism.
