Mumbai: Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria has reportedly said that he will not let Sheena Bora murder case turn into Delhi's Aarushi Talwar case.
In an interview to Dainik Bhaskar, Maria has reportedly said, “I will not let Sheena Bora murder case turn into Delhi's Aarushi case.”
Mumbai top cop is due for promotion on September 30 and wants to file the chargesheet in the case before that.
A Mumbai local court had extended the police custody of the three accused - Indrani, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyam Rai - till September 7 in connection with the Sheena Bora murder case.
During court proceedings, Special Public Prosecutor Vaibhav Bagade said that Indrani was being uncooperative during investigation and is a “hard nut to crack”.
Indrani, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and her former driver Shyamvar Rai have been arrested on the charge of murdering Sheena and disposing of the body in a Raigad forest in April 2012.
Sheena was engaged to Rahul, Peter Mukerjea's son from an earlier marriage, when she was allegedly murdered on April 24, 2012.
The 24-year-old was allegedly strangled in a car, then her body was burnt and dumped at a forest in Raigad, about 84 km from Mumbai.
