Mumbai: 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts mastermind and underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's nephew Alishah Parkar got married with Mumbai girl Ayesha Nagani on Wednesday.
The nikaah ceremony was held at Rasool Masjid in Nagpada area of south Mumbai. Very few people, which included close relatives of both sides, attended the event.
Mumbai Police kept a strict watch on the wedding ceremony.
A grand reception for the newlyweds was held at Hotel Tulip Star in Juhu. Dawood, the fugitive don, who is believed to be hiding in Pakistan, was likely to view the event via video calling on Skype.
However, there was no official confirmation, whether the US-designated terrorist sent his wishes to the newly-wed couple through the social media platform.
Alishah is the youngest son of Dawood's deceased eldest sister, the late Haseena Parkar and her husband the late Ebrahim Parker. The bride is the daughter of Mumbai businessman Shiraj A. Nagani and his wife Reshma.
