REVEALED: Sheena Bora murder case accused Peter Mukerjea loved pretty women, late night parties

Mumbai: Peter Mukerjea, a co-accused in the Sheena Bora murder case, was fond of late night parties and pretty young women, revealed the former wife of the ex Star India CEO.

The shocking details about Peter Mukerjea's life came to fore a day after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) claimed that the former television executive and his wife Indrani Mukerjea conspired to kill Sheena Bora.

The central probe agency on Wednesday revealed the statement given to it by Peter's first wife Shabnam.

"Peter Mukerjea has no morals, and is always fascinated by young women," Shabnam, his ex-wife, is believed to have said in her statement to the CBI.

The CBI had recorded Shabnam's statement on November 25 last year. However, a part of her statement has still not been revealed.

Shabnam had disclosed before the agency that Peter Mukerjea had a penchant for young women.

"He was very fond of late night parties and had several women in his life. This was the only reason why I decided to file a divorce against him," she said.

CBI had earlier released a statement by Shabnam with the chargesheet to all the accused.

One of the advocates connected with the case said, "CBI did not want to put out the statement as it was about Peter's character. However, it was Peter's lawyers who wanted this statement and so we gave it to the defense."

However, Shreyansh Mithare, the lawyer of Sanjeev Khanna, another accused in the case, said, "On reading the statement there is just about nothing that could alter the course of arguments in the case, so I do not understand why did the CBI keep it secret for so long?"
