The NSG today informed a special court that they do not know Captain R K Sharma, whom a witness had testified of leading an NSG team and killing a terrorist in Hotel Oberoi during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.

Mumbai: The National Security Guards (NSG)
today informed a special court that they do not know Captain R
K Sharma, whom a witness had testified of leading an NSG team
and killing a terrorist in Hotel Oberoi during the 26/11
Mumbai terror attack.

The court had summoned Captain R K Sharma of NSG to
tender evidence as a witness after Assistant Chief Security
Officer Rajesh Kadam testified that Captain Sharma was leading
a team in Hotel Oberoi which killed a terrorist.

Kadam had said in his evidence that he was part of the
team led by Capt Sharma who had shot dead a terrorist.

The prosecution today submitted a letter of NSG to the
Mumbai Crime Branch which said that they did not have Captain
R K Sharma in their service.

Judge M L Tahaliyani took the letter on record and asked
the investigating officer Ramesh Mahale to find out and inform
who had led the NSG team and killed a terrorist.

According to prosecution, terrorists Fahadullah and Abdul
Rehman Chhota had committed terror attack in Hotel Oberoi by
firing at people and exploding bombs. Both were shot dead by
NSG Commandos.

In another development, the court has allowed the
prosecution to screen tomorrow a CCTV footage of terror attack
at Hotel Taj. The film would show all the four terrorists--Abu
Ali, Abdul Rehman Bada, Abu Shoib and Abu Umar-- who had
created terror at the hotel on November 26 last.
