New Delhi: The row over 2G spectrum allocation losses has backfired on the BJP, Congress president Sonia Gandhi said Friday, after a former auditor blamed BJP's Murli Manohar Joshi for influencing the draft CAG report.

"Absolutely. I think so," Gandhi told reporters in the parliament complex when reporters asked if the Bharatiya Janata Party's accusations had backfired on the party.

This followed a disclosure by RP Singh, former CAG director general, that the report was influenced by Joshi. The BJP leader is also the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chief.

RP Singh told television channels that the CAG's 2G report had been influenced by Joshi and the loss figure mentioned in it was presumptive and was restored even after he deleted it in the draft.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari also hit out at Joshi.

"What is extremely important is that (in) May 2010, when the draft report is prepared by RP Singh, the loss is quantified at Rs.20,645 crore. But in November 2010, (when) the report is presented in parliament, the loss jumps to Rs.1 lakh 76 thousand crore," Tewari said.

Sena, BJP, SP, BSP are all parties worshiping their leaders as GODs but never play constructive role of serving people of this country for Human development or of worshiping people as GOD. History says that all developmental bills for people have been brought by INC only and these parties take the fruits of benefit and cry loudly as if they are doing good for the people. Glaring examples are: 1991 economic reforms, RTI, RTE, MNREGA , NHRM, Indira Avaas Yojana and so many other developmental - empowerment bills .This may be the reason why people vote for INC for more number of times to rule India as compared to the other parties who indulge only in large scale corruptions, misrule and have only non-functional leaders. The only problem INC is facing is that of some opportunistic, crooked and greedy politicians who take advantage of an oceanic political party like INC for their vested interests and put INC in enormous trouble to face the people. INC needs to continue cleaning the political system from grass root level onwards and I think Rahul and Sonia Gandhi are taking that path of cleaning as never before. It is thanks to this that such large numbers of corruption cases came in to focus, thanks to the RTI act introduced by the UPA Govt. Reena Mahajan, Shimla (H.P.)

Mr. RP Singh, former CAG director general, looking for a Congress for 2014 Election.! This was the strategy well carried by everyone in Executive & Judiciary Circle, who would love to have a Blue / Red Light Car after their retirement from the services.. If there were the manipulations in the report.. Why Mr. RP Singh, former CAG director general did not reach to court for tempering the documents.. Mr. RP Singh, former CAG director general is misguiding the state and securing a ticket for himself.

CAG JOSHI nexus to malign GOVRMNT. : CAG already done severe damage to Govmnt by reporting disputable presumed and arbitrary losses in 2 G and similar in Coalgate. Now Mr Rai CAG must be sacked. Govmnt cannot function if such agencies work with malafied intentions with the support of BJP. Kejriwal also taking benifit of these nonsense. Let the govmnt take bold decisions in the development of nation.Mr R.P.Singh bravo though u have only said truth that It was Mr RAI CAG who directed u to issue report even u had put yr observation that it is not duty of CAG to report losses but to report only fact findings.

The Constitutional audit body not only reviews the mathematical calculation, but review the process as it is accountable to the state and not to the Govt. in power. It has every right to review the due deligence in the usage of the resouces of the state.. Those who say that CAG has less role to play.. fails to understand that, The bodies like Parliamant, President, Judiciary, Executives, CAG, EC, CVO, etc, draw their authorities and autonomy directly from the constitution and not from Parliamant, unlike Cabinet and PMO. Please understand the constitution and just don`t jump like monkey...

Or has he been offered a cushy job in one of Sonia Gandhi`s many Govt funded/misappropriated trusts/foundations/private mega real estate company built with COngress party donations post retirement? Apparently Sonia Gandhi, has graduated from `aggressive` body gestures to string a sentence to say ``BJP is exposed`!
