New Delhi: Wife of former telecom secretary Siddharth Behura, who is in CBI custody after his arrest in the 2G spectrum case, will undergo a breast cancer surgery at a city hospital on Friday for which he has received permission
from a special court here to visit her.
Behura`s wife will undergo the operation for breast cancer tomorrow at a leading hospital in the city, family members said.
He was arrested along with former telecom minister A Raja and his private secretary RK Chandolia on Wednesday for allegedly causing a loss of Rs 22,000 crore to the exchequer by favouring some telecom firms in award of the 2G spectrum licences.
Behura`s counsel SS Gandhi on Thursday had sought permission from the court to allow the bureaucrat to meet his wife, a plea unopposed by the CBI.
The court permitted him to meet her once before and after the operation.
