Lahore: Former Pakistan wicket keeper Kamran Akmal has been cleared by the Integrity Committee of the PCB.
According to sources, Akmal may make his return to the national side prior to the T20 World Cup, and is also expected to be part of the T20 squad during the series against Australia, reports The News. Kamran had not been cleared by the board to be considered for selection in the national team since last year``s World Cup, which witnessed the team``s heart-wrenching defeat against India in Mohali during the semifinal. PCB Chief Selector Iqbal Qasim, however, said he has not received any official notification of Akmal``s clearance. Akmal last played for Pakistan in September 2010 and has appeared in 53 Tests and 137 ODIs. ANI
