A delegation of Unified Naga Council calls on Union Home Minister


New Delhi: A delegation of Naga people from Manipur, representing the Unified Naga Council, met Home Minister Rajnath Singh here on Wednesday and expressed concern over the welfare of Naga tribes in the state.

The Home Minister conveyed the delegation that the government is fully committed to solving their problems in a time-bound manner but there is no scope for any violence, an official release said.

Singh said the Centre is ceased of the aspirations, sentiments and views of Naga people and has appointed R N Ravi as interlocutor for Naga talks for recommending a suitable solution.

The team also thanked the government for assuring them to look into their grievances sympathetically.
