AAP dharna hits aam aadmi, four Delhi Metro stations shut

With Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal going on a dharna outside the Home Minister`s office, the commuters faced a tough time as four metro stations were closed from 9 am to 1 pm on Monday.

New Delhi: With Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal going on a dharna outside the Home Minister`s office, the commuters faced a tough time as four metro stations were closed from 9 am to 1 pm on Monday.

The four metro stations that will remain closed are - Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat, Udyog Bhavan and Race Course - according to a release from the Delhi Metro Rail Conference (DMRC).

The Delhi Police has also imposed prohibitory orders in and around Delhi to maintain law and order.

Kejriwal`s dharna comes even as Home Ministry has sought a report from Delhi Police over the the cases mentioned by Kejriwal.

Kejriwal has however, appealed to the public not to join the dharna, which is being attended by Delhi ministers and MLAs.
"I along with all ministers and MLAs, will sit on dharna outside Home Minister`s office for the sake of women security. In view of Republic Day preps, i urge supporters and public not to come for dharna. Only MLAs will sit. No one else shud come pl", Kejriwal had tweeted.

Kejriwal had given the Delhi Police time till 10 am today to act against the policemen, who didn`t comply with Law Minister Somnath Bharti and refused to enter a home in Khidki Extension on Wednesday without an arrest warrant.

According to Aam Aadmi Party, the cops had refused to crack down on alleged prostitution ring in South Delhi.
Meanwhile, a court ordered registration of FIR against unknown persons over the midnight raid against African women.

Law Minister Somnath Bharti had alleged the Ugandan women of being involved in drugs and prostitution racket.

Kejriwal had also sought action against those cops who had a spat with Women and Child Development Minister Rakhi Birla, over an alleged dowry death case in Sagarpur.
