New Delhi/Kolkata: Accusing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of indulging in all kinds of "tricks and doublespeak" over the formation of government in Delhi, BJP accused it of striking a "secret" deal with Congress and Subramanian Swamy said the new party was heading towards doom.

"AAP seem to be the alter ego of Congress, but they have the support of Sonia Gandhi. All this while they have been attacking the Congress. But now they are seeking Congress`s support to form government," he said about AAP`s intention to form the government in Delhi.

Swamy, who earlier had said that AAP was led by people committed to Maoist ideology, claimed that the party was headed for destruction.

"Once they take support of Congress and form the government, their destruction is inevitable. In fact, they are destined to be doomed. They are damned if they form the government, they are damned if they don`t," he added.

BJP leaders also felt that under the garb of reaching out to people AAP was actually striking a "secret" deal with Congress.

Delhi BJP President Vijay Goel said, "We have been witnessing a game of political drama in the recent days where AAP is indulging in all kinds of tricks and doublespeak over the formation of the government. It has been consistently changing its stand on this issue and has disrespected the democratic institutions and traditions."

"In the garb of going back to people, AAP is actually striking a secret deal with Congress for forming the government. Under this secret deal, AAP has agreed not to open the old cases of corruption against Congress," Goel alleged.

"It is clear that they have ulterior motives. Both AAP and Congress should come out clean and let people know that what is deal between them.

What is happening right now is clearly the case of shadow-boxing and BJP would continue to expose it as it has done in the past," added Goel.

Goel said to express gratitude to people for their support in recently concluded assembly election the party will organise its "Abhinandan Rally" at Talkatora stadium on December 28.

"In addition to expressing our gratitude, we would also be reiterating our commitment towards Delhi residents` welfare in this rally.

"The BJP remains committed to the people of Delhi and would continue with its relentless efforts to connect with people and raise their issues," Goel said.

Claiming the people of Delhi were showing positive signs, the AAP Saturday hoped to break the logjam over government formation in Delhi.

"Till now we have got a very positive and explicit response from the people of Delhi in the meetings held in various constituencies. If things go on the same way, AAP will definitely form the government," AAP leader Manish Sisodia has said.
