Action sought against Speaker not yardstick for all: Cong

2G spectrum allocation, Congress today said its demand for
action against Punjab Assembly Speaker for corruption cannot
be used as a yardstick in all cases.

"The comparison is absolutely inappropriate. You cannot
compare apples and pears. Conjecture cannot replace evidence",
party spokesman Manish Tewari told reporters.

It is alleged that Kahlon, in conspiracy with other
accused, indulged in corruption, cheating and forgery of
records in respect of selection of 909 Panchayat Secretaries
from 1997 to 2002 by abusing official position.
