Dehradun: Commandant of the Indian Military
Academy Lt Gen R S Sujlana today said the institute requires
nearly 1200 acres of additional land for training purpose.
"Given the number of cadets being trained at a time, the
academy requires at least 1200 acres of additional land to
facilitate better training," Sujlana told reporters here on
the eve of Passing Out Parade (POP).
Sujlana said the additional land would be used for
developing new shooting ranges.
Answering a question, he said if a policy decision is
taken for admitting women for military training, IMA is ready
A total of 534 cadets would be passed out from the
portals of IMA after a rigorous training with Chief of Army
staff Gen Vijay Kumar Singh, reviewing the parade tomorrow.
Out of these, 518 cadets would join Indian Army.
