BJP general secretary Tapir Gao?s call to eradicate
Congress from the country, he said, would remain the party`s
dream.

He alleged that Advani, during his visit to the state
as deputy prime minister, had promised funds for the
development of Arunachal Pradesh, but the then NDA government
did not sanction a single penny for the state.

The UPA-II, on the other hand, launched flagship
programmes to benefit every section of the people, Tuki said.

Party Lok Sabha member Takam Sanjay said that
Arunachal situation was an internal matter of the party and
Advani had no locus standi to question the elected government.

The Congress president was alive to the situation and
has appointed a three-member committee to ease it, he said in
statement.

The yatra, he said, had no relevance for the North
Eastern states, particularly Arunachal, which was eyewash to
mend his mistake of laying the foundation for a 500-bed
hospital at Naharlagun and the green field airport at
Banderdewa.

Stating that neither of the projects took off, he said
the UPA government sanctioned the hospital project recently.

"BJP cannot fool the people through tall talk," Sanjay
said.
