Aggarwal Sammelan prohibits women from dancing on DJs

The All India Aggarwal Sammelan (AIAS) on Sunday imposed a ban on women folk of their community from dancing on DJs in marriage ceremonies.

Jind: The All India Aggarwal Sammelan (AIAS) on Sunday imposed a ban on women folk of their community from dancing on DJs in marriage ceremonies.
A resolution to this effect was adopted unanimously at a meeting of the Sammelan here, AIAS` Haryana secretary Gopal Sharan Garg said.

"We will keep a watch on such activities. Any woman community member flouting the directive will be be fined by the organisation," he told reporters here.

Kandela Khap head Tekram Khandela, who attended the meeting, welcomed the decision.

The AIAS also passed resolutions against female foeticide and dowry culture and asked the people to unitedly fight these social evils.

It also asked the Centre to amend the Hindu Marriage Act to declare same gotra(lineage) marriages as null and void.
