New Delhi: Without naming anyone, AIADMK
today accused the DMK top brass of being involved in the 2G spectrum allocation scam.
"Spectrum mega scam is no longer confined to (former
telecom minister) A Raja. According to reports, behind Raja
there is a 'maharaja' sitting in Chennai. Probably, that is
the reason why the Prime Minister is silent despite getting
censure from Supreme Court," AIADMK leader V Maitreyan alleged.
He, however, did not name the 'maharaja' while talking to
reporters outside Parliament House.
Reiterating the demand for JPC, he said, "Our stand is
clear. Till the government agrees on JPC, Parliament will not
be allowed to function."
Parliament continued to remain disrupted for the fifth
consecutive day as opposition stalled the proceedings to
demand setting up of a Joint Parliamentary Committee to
probe the 2G spectrum allocation.
