Aim of ministry is to ensure no child without education: Tirath

Minister for Women and Child Development Krishna Tirath today said the aim of her ministry is to ensure that no child in the country is without education and a proper home.

New Delhi: Minister for Women and Child
Development Krishna Tirath today said the aim of her ministry
is to ensure that no child in the country is without education
and a proper home.

"Our aim is that no child is without education, home and
proper food. All government ministries are trying to meet the
requirement of every child," Tirath said at the release of
`Saarathi`, a manual for training the workers of child
development agencies.

She said the government is completely dedicated to
provide poor children every facility so that they can live a
life without fear, poverty and illiteracy.

"The Government of India is completely dedicated to
provide our children an environment which is free from
poverty, fear, illiteracy and darkness.

The Ministry of Women and Child Development has taken up
very important issues and steps to make convergence in all
states for child welfare," she said.

She said that under the ICPS, the government has
recently increased the portion of supplements of nutrition in
food so that every child can get the required minerals and
vitamins for a healthy growth.

Gursharan Kaur, wife of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh,
praising the organisations for their exemplary works, said
they were one of the very important players in the society.
