New Delhi: Congress on Friday said the law will take its course in the Aircel-Maxis deal case in which former Telecom Minister Dayanidhi Maran has been questioned by the CBI in connection with the allegations that he had received Rs 547 crore as kickbacks from a Malaysian company.

"Law will take its own course. Law does not discriminate between person to person. We have respect for law," party spokesman Radhid Alvi told reporters.

He was reacting to reports that CBI has questioned Maran last week, the first time after the agency had registered a regular case against him, his brother Kalanithi Maran, and some others on charges of complicity in the deal.
