Ajmer blast accused produced in court for Cong leader`s murder

Indore: An accused in Ajmer dargah blast of 2007, Lokesh Sharma, was on Monday produced in a local court where his statement was recorded in connection with the murder of Congress leader Pyar Singh Ninama, amid tight security.

Sharma, one of the 13 accused in the Ninama murder case recorded his statement in the court of Special Judge RKS Gautam under section 313 of the CrPC, the government lawyer Vishal Shrivastava said.

The next hearing of the case has been listed for February 28, he added.

Sharma (37) is an accused in Ninama murder case which took place at Manpur area of the district in August 2003.

Former RSS pracharak Sunil Joshi whose name has figured in some Hindu terror acts, too allegedly had a hand in Ninama murder case.

Sharma got a bail after arrest in Ninama murder case but Joshi who was on the run was shot dead in December 2007 in Dewas.

Sharma was arrested by Rajasthan ATS in connection with the Ajmer Blast on May 2010 here and since then he has been in judicial custody at Ajmer central jail.
