All power projects to get CISF cover

As power projects in the country face increasing terror threat, the Power Ministry on Wednesday said the Central Industrial Security Force would provide security cover to all power plants in the next three to five years.

face increasing terror threat, the Power Ministry on Wednesday said
the Central Industrial Security Force would provide security
cover to all power plants in the next three to five years.
"In the next three to five year, all power projects
will have CISF cover," Power Secretary H S Brahma said, adding
that Ratnagiri Gas and Power Private Limited in Maharashtra
was the latest to get the central security.

He said power projects in Jammu and Kashmir and
insurgency-affected Northeast are under threat.
Brahma said out of the 300 power plants in the country,
90 are still to get CISF cover.
