Congress says it will continue its alliance with DMK and Trinamool Congress for the Tamil Nadu and West Bengal assembly elections respectively.

Mumbai: Congress will continue its alliance with DMK and Trinamool Congress for the Tamil Nadu and West Bengal assembly elections respectively.

"The alliances will continue. We do not dump allies," AICC General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi told reporters here on Tuesday.

Elections in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Kerala are slated to be held in mid-2011.
Referring to Bihar election results, he said the party had accepted its organisational failure. "we need to start afresh," he added.
Congress is of the view that the ideology of RSS and the Sangh parivar needs to be fought ideologically and the party will create awareness about it by going to the people, he said adding that banning organisations will not help to curb fundamentalism.
