New Delhi: Even as the government send signals that it is ready to hold talks with Anna Hazare and opened back room parleys with his key associates over the controversial Lokpal Bill, the noted Gandhian Wednesday cleared that he won’t leave Tihar jail till all his conditions are met.

Briefing a sea of his supporters, who have gathered outside the Tihar jail, Prashant Bhushan said, “Anna has said that he will come out of Tihar jail only if the government agrees to his demands and releases him unconditionally.”

“Sri Anna Hazare is presently locked in an intense discussion with spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and the government officials over a new venue for holding his fast-unto-death. Once a decision is made on the new venue, Anna will come out of Tihar,” Prashant said.
The development came hours after government send indications that it was ready to hold talks with Team Anna.

Earlier, Team Anna announced that they are willing to hold talks but only after Anna is released unconditionally and allowed to hold a fast at a public place in Delhi.”

Certain other media reports claimed that Team Anna has also demanded that they be allowed to hold a conference call with Anna to charter further course of action.

Team Anna has requested all the supporters in Delhi to converge at India Gate at 4:00 PM today, Wednesday, to march towards the Parliament.

Public support for the country’s biggest anti-corruption icon Anna Hazare is swelling up by the hour almost a day after his arrest, his landing in Tihar Central Prison and subsequent ‘release’ by the government under tremendous pressure last night.

The noted social worker spent the whole night in Tihar Jail, refusing to come out, insisting on an unconditional release and permission to launch his fast at Jai Prakash Narain Park in Central Delhi.
