Gurgaon: The condition of Anna Hazare
admitted to a hospital here with complaints of breathlessness
and high blood pressure is "fairly stable", doctors said
on Monday.
"We conducted a good number of investigations on him and
as per the reports there are no surprises yet. His condition
is fairly stable," Dr AK Dubey, Medical Superintendent at
Medanta Medcity hospital, said.
Dubey said a team of doctors led by cardiologist Dr
Naresh Trehan and Dr RR Kasliwal, Head of internal medicine,
are attending on 74-year-old Hazare. The activist was admitted
to the hospital yesterday.
Kasliwal said Hazare was admitted with complaints of
breathlessness and high blood pressure.
"We have accomplished some investigations and reports
state that his condition is stable. We are waiting for the
results of some more tests," he said.
Dubey said that based on the results of the remaining
reports a decision can be taken on when to discharge Hazare.
Hazare had undergone a routine check-up at the same
hospital last August soon after he had ended his 13-day fast
on the Lokpal issue.
"He has come to us with a specific problem and we are
treating him for that. His bronchitis condition is also under
control," Dr Kasliwal said.
