Mumbai: In the wake of Team Anna members Prashant Bhushan and Arvind Kejriwal being attacked, the Maharashtra Director General of Police has ordered a review of Anna Hazare’s security.

The DGP has instructed the Superintendent of Police of Ahmednagar to send a police team to Hazare’s village, Ralegan Siddhi and carry out a review of his security.

Hazare is currently on ‘maun vrat’ (vow of silence) and is not undertaking any kind of travel.

Reports said the security review was ordered after an alert from the Intelligence Bureau.

While Bhushan, a prominent lawyer, was assaulted recently in his chamber inside the Supreme Court for his controversial remarks on Kashmir, Kejriwal was attacked with a sandal yesterday while going to address a rally in Lucknow.

Team Anna has recently been under fire for their anti-Congress stance, especially in the run-up to Hisar Lok Sabha bypoll in which the Congress candidate not just got defeated but also lost his deposit.
