New Delhi: In growing instances of violence related with the Anna movement, around 50 alleged supporters of the Gandhian, on Saturday, pelted stones at the PM’s official residence, 7, Race Course Road.

The supporters were staging a protest at the PM’s residence to press for a strong Jan Lokpal Bill.

The protesters were seen trying to climb the gates of the well-secured PM’s residence while police tried to prevent them from doing so.

The protesters were shouting slogans against the UPA government.
They wrote slogans against the Prime Minister on the roads as well as the wall of the residence.

Even as the police took the protestors into custody, it is ironical that Anna supporters are resorting to such measures that are maligning a movement that is ostensibly supposed to be non-violent!
A simultaneous protest is going on by Team Anna at Jantar Mantar as well, where Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and others are fasting to press for their demands.

Meanwhile, in another development Anna Hazare today threatened to fast-unto-death from Sunday onwards on the Lokpal issue.
