New Delhi: Anna Hazare’s health condition is stable but worrisome, doctors attending to him said on Thursday.

Speaking from the dais, Dr Naresh Trehan said, “The condition of Anna Hazare is stable. Reports have about his weight have come and he has lost over 6 kgs. It is a matter of concern.”
He further added, “Doctors will monitor Anna all through the night and people will be updated about his health in the morning.”

Doctors had earlier recommended that Hazare, 74, must be admitted in a hospital.

However, the anti-corruption campaigner refused to get admitted or be administered a glucose drip.
The doctors have asked Hazare to drink a lot of water and told not to take any strain.

Hazare has been on fast since August 16, the day he was arrested and taken to Tihar Jail. He was released the same day, but he refused to leave. He shifted to Ramlila ground here August 19 where he has been continuing with his fast.
