Defence Minister AK Antony on Monday advocated a development process that would ensure social justice to all sections in the society.

on Monday advocated a development process that would ensure
social justice to all sections in the society.
Antony was speaking after releasing the `Draft Development
Document` to be presented at the Kerala Developemt Congress,
organised by Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Development Studies, to
be opened by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here on February
11.

Benefits of nation`s progress should reach all in the soceity
rather than concentrating in a section of people, Antony said.

Stating that `Kerala model` developemnt, focusing on social
welfare along with state`s development`, have reached a
stumbling block, Antony said a new comprehensive programme was
needed in tune with the time.

KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala, Former State Minister
Vakom Purushothoman, Congress Deptuy leader in the assembly
G Karthikeyan were among those present on the occasion.

More than 1200 delegates are expected to attend the four-day
long meet, in which papers on different topics related to
state`s development would be presented.
The objective of the meet was to formulate an action plan for
the state`s growth after co-ordinating the views emerged at
the congress.
