Thiruvananthapuram: Defence Minister A K
Antony Monday rejected as "baseless" reports in a section of media that he had been excluded as government nominee from the panel for drafting Lok Pal bill as anti-corruption crusader
Anna Hazare had reservations over him in view of Adarsh Flat
scam.

"This is totally false and baseless," Antony told a
meet-the-press here when his reaction was sought on the
reports in this regard.

"Who told you this. Did Anna Hazare telephone you to
say this?," he asked the reporter who put the question.

Antony said there was no substance in CPI-M leader V S
Achuthanandan`s charge that he had been silent over the Adarsh
scam.

"I ordered the CBI probe into Adarsh Flat scam without
much fanfare about it. Those who found guilty in the
investigation, would be punished," he said.

On Achuthanandan`s jibe at him that he is a "pseudo
idealist" and a "fake sanyasin", Antony quipped saying "first
of all I am not a sanyasin but a family man with two
children."
