Army Chief VK Singh in US Army War College `Hall of Fame`

VK Singh is the first Indian officer to get inducted into US Army War College`s `Hall of Fame`.

New Delhi: Army Chief General V K Singh
has become the first Indian officer to have been inducted into
the US Army War College`s `Hall of Fame`.

The honour was extended to the Army Chief during his
six-day visit to the US from March 6-12.

All officers from foreign countries, who rise to head
their respective Armies, after attending a course at the US
Army War College, are extended this honour, an Army release
said here.

Gen Singh had attended the college as a Brigadier in
2001-02 and was awarded a masters degree in Strategic Studies
is awarded on completion of the course.

As part of the honour, his photograph has been placed
in the portals of the college.

On the occasion, Gen Singh also delivered a talk on
`Strategic and Defence Leadership` to the students of College,
where he highlighted the future challenges, which will be
faced by future leaders.
