A joint sailing expedition by Indian Army and Indian Navy Gunners to Mumbai was flagged off here on Monday.

Indian Army and Indian Navy Gunners to Mumbai was flagged off
here on Monday.

The sailing expedition commemorates the 12th reunion
of the Artillery Regiment and is being undertaken in three
sail boats of `J-24` Class, a navy press release said.

It was flagged off from the Naval Base by Rear Admiral
S S Jamwal, Chief of Staff of Southern Naval Command and Major
General G S Narang, General Officer Commanding 41 Artillery
Division.

Lieutenant Commander Neil Manjooran is leading the
team with two officers from the Indian Army and 17 soldiers
and sailors, the release said.

The joint Gunners team is expected to reach Mumbai on
February 3 where they would be flagged in by the Director
General of the Corps of Artillery of the Indian Army, the
release added.
