Talwara (Punjab): The Indian Army is equipped
with state-of-the-art technology to meet any external threat,
a top army officer said here.
"We are well equipped to meet any external aggression
...whether recruitment, upgradation or modernisation of armed
forces, it is a continuous process and we are equipped with
state-of-the-art technology to meet any external threat," said
Lt General A K Roy Choudhury, GOC of Rising Star Corps.
Interacting with mediapersons after inaugurating an
Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) Polyclinic,
he said ECHS has come a long way since its inception in April
2003 in providing medicare to as many as 1.60 lakh
ex-servicemen.
