Aseemanand`s confession to role in blasts a great lie: VHP

VHP condemned Congress-led government’s attempt to malign image of Hindu leaders by terming them as terrorists and argued that it was the greatest lie that Swami Aseemanand had confessed to the blasts.

Ramnathi (Goa): Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Sunday condemned Congress-led government’s attempt to malign image of Hindu leaders by terming them as terrorists and argued that it was the greatest lie that Swami Aseemanand had confessed to the blasts.

"We are trying to enlighten the people. If Congress tries to entangle Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and Vishwa Hindu Parishad leaders, then a movement will be started against them (Congress)," VHP International President Ashok Singal told reporters today.

At the end of three-day long conclave here, Singhal said that a resolution was adopted condemning Congress for defaming Hindu leaders by terming them as saffron terrorists.
Stating that leaders like Swami Aseemanand were being linked to Samjhauta Express blast, the VHP Chief commented that Congress was speaking unbelievable things.

"Detailed investigation was carried out in Samjhauta Express blast, Malegao Blast and Mecca masjid blast in Hyderabad. It has come to light that Jehadis are involved in it," he said.
"Now they are trying to blame Hindus to create a new plot by blaming the Hindu organisations for that," Singhal added.

"It is the greatest lie that Swami Aseemanand has confessed to the blasts. Shameless media is reporting absolute baseless things. These are all made up stories. His lawyer has come on record saying that Swami Aseemanand never confessed," he commented.

A resolution adopted during VHP?s meeting said "The use of terms like Hindu terrorism or saffron terrorism is an insult to the entire Hindu community. If Congress tries to push this conspiracy to blame Hindus for terrorism, then they will have to face the consequences".

Singhal, who was re-elected as International President of VHP unanimously today, said that people have huge faith and hopes in VHP and RSS leaders.
