In a bid to foster bond of friendship across the seas, a biennial conglomeration of Asia-Pacific maritime navies would be organised here on February 3, Navy officials said on Saturday.

The six-day event `Milan`, which begins from February 3,
would have participation from Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei,
Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand,
Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.

The meet assumes significance in view of the
increasing maritime trade and security threats, the officials
said.
