Attack on Jayaram`s house: TN director secures advance bail

Tamil film Director Seeman, apprehending arrest in connection with the attack on the house of film actor Jayaram on February five, today secured anticipatory bail from the Madras High Court.

Granting the advance bail, Justice K N Basha directed
Seeman to furnish a personal bond for Rs 25,000 with two
sureties for like sum and to report before the police daily
for two weeks and thereafter as and when required.

The attack on the actor`s residence occurred after his
alleged derogatory remarks against Tamil women.
Jayaram has since then expressed an unconditional apology.

Seeman is the leader of the little known Tamil outfit
`Naam Tamizhar` which had attacked Jayaram`s house here,
protesting his remarks.Eight activists were arrested in this
connection.
