Bangladeshi `spy` held

A Bangladeshi national, who the BSF claimed, was spying for the security forces of the neighbouring country, has been apprehended.



Shillong: A Bangladeshi national, who the
BSF claimed, was spying for the security forces of the
neighbouring country, has been apprehended.

Amzad Ali of Kurigram was apprehended while he was
trying to infiltrate into India through Assam`s Dhubri border
yesterday under "suspicious circumstances", a BSF statement
said here today.

On interrogation, it was revealed that he worked with the
police in Bangladesh and had been tasked to find out the
details of BSF posts and deployment along the India-Bangladesh
Border, the statement said.
