Jammu: Amid tight security, a batch of 373
pilgrims on Saturday left for the Amarnath yatra from here, police
said.
As many as 195 men, 84 women, 4 children and 90 sadhus
left from the Bhagwati Nagar base camp here around 0505 hours
this morning in a cavalcade of 11 vehicles for the 13,500-feet
high cave shrine situated in south Kashmir Himalayas.

With today`s batch, as many as 78,437 pilgrims have
left Jammu in 38th batches for their onward journey to the
cave shrine.
Meanwhile, fifth batch of 1,688 pilgrims today left
from here to Budha Amarnath in Mandi tehsil of Poonch
district.

The batch comprising 856 male, 732 females and 100
children left in a fleet of 43 vehicles from the base camp at
Bhagwati Nagar around 0625 hours this morning, police said.
