"Eight more bodies were retrieved today. The search

has been located and would be brought out tomorrow," SP South
24 Paraganas district, L N Meena, said.
As many as 220 people were onboard the trawler as per the

to the administration, sources said.

According to Meena, 93 persons were found to have either
swum to safety or rescued. About 50 passengers are still

The search operations had to be suspended last evening
due to bad weather and strong currents.

Special attention was being given to four areas --

where most of the bodies had been recovered, Additional
District Magistrate Nilanjan Shandilya said.
The trawler, which was sailing from Hijli Sharif in

and sank on October 30.

It was located on Sunday by personnel of the Kolkata
Port Trust and Coast Guards using echo sounding equipment.
