Bhopal: An NGO working for survivors of
the Bhopal Gas Tragedy today said that it will move the
Supreme Court, seeking a probe against former CJI A M Ahmadi
as Bhopal Memorial Hospital Trust (BMHT) Chairman.

"We will move the Apex Court to seek an inquiry
against Ahmadi under whose chairmanship massive irregularities
were committed in the BMHT," Bhopal Gas Peedit Mahila Udyog
Sangathan Convenor Abdul Jabbar told reporters soon after
acceptance of Ahmadi`s resignation by the Supreme Court.

He alleged that Ahmadi had built a swanky house at
Anandpur in Gurgaon district and the source of money used for
making this needs to be probed.

Jabbar said that he wants to know whether Rs 50 crore
imported equipment brought to BMHT were still with it.

He said that 30 vacancies in the BMHT without being
advertised, had been filled.

Jabbar said that the drug trials have been carried out
in the BMHT without taking patients` approval between
2005 and 2008.

Ahmadi has been the BMHT Chairman for 12 years, he
said adding that under his tenure the health services have
received a knocking in the hospital.

He said that seven departments out of 16 were not
functional at the BMHT opened to look after victims of Bhopal
Gas Tragedy, adding that the strength of the staffers too had
come down to 350 from 700.
