Terror has no religion, says Sharad Yadav

New Delhi: As BJP fumed over Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde's comment linking Sangh parivar with Hindu terror, its ally Janata Dal (United) on Monday said terror has no religion and asked him to act if he has any such knowledge.

"It is the government's responsibility to provide security. Home Minister's job is to ensure peace and not issue statements," JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav said here.

Addressing the Congress Chintan Shivir in Jaipur, Shinde had accused BJP and RSS of conducting "terror training" camps to spread saffron terrorism in the country.

Asked to comment on Shinde's Hindu terror statement, Yadav said "terror has no religion."

"Anyway it is his government. So he is saying all these to whom? He has to act," he said adding the "government is only expressing concern over internal disturbance. But government has to find a solution. It is his (Home Minister) duty to prevent internal strife."

By making such outragious comments the Home Minister has diluted India`s stand on terror. Pakistan and its terrorist organisations including Mr. Hapeez Shahid has already asked for declaring India a terrorist state since its major political party is stated by Home minister to be promotin terror. Nothing can be more unfortunate and against the Interest of India. It appears from the support extended by other senior minister that what was satrted by HM is a sinister design aimed at pure vote bank politics ahead of the poll next year. Congress can stoop to any level, the country be damned.

It`s so shamefull that Congress party speaks of Hindu and saffron terrorism. Does this mean that all the Hindus in the Congress party are terrorists? Does it mean tgat all the sadhus (dressed in saffron) of India are terrorists? And this is being said by a minister in his capacity as minister!!! He must (be forced to) resign or prove his allegations.
