BJP govt in MP encouraging fundamentalists: Chidambaram

Union Home Minister P Chidambaram on Thursday accused the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh of moving towards "encouraging religious fundamentalists" and increasing social differences.

on Thursday accused the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh of moving
towards "encouraging religious fundamentalists" and increasing
social differences.

Addressing Congress workers at the party office here, the
Union Minister said BJP in power in Madhya Pradesh was moving
towards encouraging religious fundamentalists and dividing the
people.

Chidambaram said the situation in Madhya Pradesh was not
good with regard to infant mortality rate and added the state
was falling behind on other social indicators too.

He appealed to the workers to campaign in the next
assembly elections on the plank of development and throw the
BJP out of power.
