New Delhi: A day after the BJP voted against the Constitution Amendment Bill on Lokpal in Lok Sabha, Digvijay Singh on Wednesday again hit out at Anna Hazare and his team.
Writing on micro-blogging website Twitter, Singh said his prediction is that “Anna won't speak a word against the BJP and RSS”.
He further wrote: “Would Anna force BJP and do a Dharna in front of Advaniji's residence and tell them not to oppose Lokpal Bill in Rajya Sabha ? (sic).”
“Team Anna and their foul mouthed Tweeple would still hurl abuses at Congress PM and CP. Reason- Team Anna a front for BJP/RSS (sic),” he added.
Singh sought to know from Team Anna why had not reacted against the BJP which prevented the Lokpal from getting a Constitutional body status in the Lower House.
“BJP opposes Constitutional Amendment for giving strength to Lokpal and Lokayukts in the States where 95% corruption takes place (sic),” he wrote on Twitter.
The Congress leader also made fun of media and Team Anna over claims of having a mass supporter base.
“Media claimed Anna has the support of 120 crore people. Where are they? Would media please correct their estimates,” he said.
While stating only 1,000 turned up at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan yesterday where a parallel fast is being organised alongside Anna Hazare’s Mumbai protest, Singh asked, “Where are the lakhs registered for Jail Bharo aandolan?”
Singh also appealed to Hazare to end his fast keeping in view his ill health.
