Patna: The BJP today sought to make a
political capital out of Prime Minister`s Media Advisor Harish
Khare`s reported description of the Congress as a `status
quoist` party.

"Khare has aptly described the Congress as a status
quoist party which only functions on the principal of winning
elections for power," BJP National Vice President Kiran Ghai
told reporters here.

The Congress does not have an alternative development
agenda for Bihar to that of the ruling NDA, she said and
claimed the electorate would not be fooled into voting for a
party which lacked conviction and commitment to serve them.

Ghai attacked the Congress for cobbling a `rag tag`
unit in the state by welcoming dissidents and turncoats from
other parties in the run up to the assembly elections.

This, she claimed, again proved that the party`s sole
agenda was to win elections by `hook or by crook` as has been
observed by the Prime Minister`s media advisor.

The senior BJP leader also criticized the RJD-LJP
combine for lacking an agenda of development, which the people
had got used to during the tenure of the NDA government.
