BJP to grill govt on corruption, Lokpal issues

Amritsar: The BJP on Monday said it will grill the central government on the issues of corruption, terrorism and non-inclusion of Prime Minister from the ambit of Lokpal in the monsoon session of the Parliament, which starts on Sunday.

The BJP will not allow smooth functioning of both the Houses if the Congress-led UPA government does not address these issues, BJP chief spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters here.

On the Lokpal issue, he said the draft approved by the cabinet is below expectation and the party supports inclusion of the Prime Minister in its ambit.

On the 2G scam, the party spokesperson said the BJP demands the CBI probe against P Chidambaram, the then Finance Minister when the 2G Spectrum allocation was made, and asked why Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi are maintaining "silence" over the matter.

Prasad also sought inclusion of all the suspects in the ongoing CBI probe into the cash for vote scam, saying the Congress had compromised with principals to cling onto power at the Centre.

dear annji worried about your health doing great work for the noble cause but i am sure govt would not take any appropriate step, you have my full support for the noble cause let us put our joint effort to root out the corrupted people and system out. every citizen in this country should support to the lokpal bill. we must keep in mind that this congress should not get another chance. so many pms in the world were found to be corrupt and had to resign why pm should be out of lokpal, a true democracy is one where everyone responsible for running the government is accountable for his or his office`s action. pm being under the scanner of the lokpal bill. pm(hey reserve bank governor, how much u have in swiss bank.) is the servant of the population of the country and he should be accountable for every aspect of running of the government. citizens have a right to vote out dishonest people and vote in honest people. when the hindu families were killed one after another, government of india was sleeping. nehru ruined it all and now sonia gandhi and rahul gandhi are adding to it. god will definitely not forgive congress. we need honest and patriotic people, not these robbers running our country. i stand with you all people of india jai hind.
