New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday staged a walkout in the Rajya Sabha, hitting out strongly at the government. Addressing the House, Rajya Sabha leader of opposition Arun Jaitley claimed that the government had lost the faith of the people.
Pointing that an investigation report has been shared with the government for the first time, the BJP leader accused the government of subverting every institution. He said that even the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) had also been manipulated by the government.
In a sharp criticism, the Rajya Sabha leader of opposition alleged that the government had “converted India’s dream into a nightmare”.

Slamming the government for the scams and then trying for cover-ups, the BJP leader said that the party was in no position to cooperate with the UPA government on any front, following which the Opposition members staged a walkout.
