Bangalore: BJP`s Minority Morcha on Wednesday
recommended to the party`s central leadership to drop its
demand for introduction of uniform civil code in the country.
Addressing the national convention of the Morcha here, its
national in-charge JK Jain said that India is a diverse
country with essence of harmony, rather than uniformity.

However, Morcha endorsed the party`s stand that there
should be no reservation on religious grounds, he said.
Senior party leader Najma Heptulla alleged that Congress
always treated Muslims as "vote bank" and blamed it for their
"backwardness".
