Patna: BJP`s youth wing sponsored Rashtriya
Ekta Yatra from Kolkata to Srinagar reached here this evening.

The yatra will reach Lal Chowk at Srinagar on January
26 when BJP leaders will unfurl the national flag on the
Republic Day.
The Yatra was received by state Road Construction
Minister Nandkishore Yadav at Kargil Chowk here.

Bankipore MLA and other leaders of the party were also
present.

The yatra aims at containing activities of anti-national
elements, Yadav said.

National president of BJYM Anurag Thakur is leading the
yatra.

Several party leaders would participate in the yatra
when it would reach Srinagar to unfurl the tricolour.

A makeshift chariot and some motorcycle-borne youths are
part of the yatra.
JD(U) national president Sharad Yadav, who was also in
Patna, said the yatra had nothing to do with the NDA.

"It is an independent programme of the BJP and we have
nothing to do with it," Yadav said when his reaction was
sought to the yatra reaching Patna.
