Indore: The body of Captain Prateek
Puntambekar, who lost his life along with 16 other armymen
following an avalanche in Jammu and Kashmir, was brought here
on Thursday.
The security men were undergoing training at Khilanmarg
in Jammu and Kashmir in winter warfare when an avalanche
suddenly hit them killing 17 Army personnel and injuring as
many of them two days back.
The body arrived at the Indore airport by a private
airlines flight and was taken to his Vigyan Nagar residence
where it was kept for people to pay their respects, family
sources said.
The last rites will be performed at Rambagh Muktidham
later in the day.
Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh
Chouhan visited the house of Captain Puntambekar last night to
pay his condolences to the bereaved family.
