BSF apprehends two Pakistanis from Harami Nala area Ahmedabad: Two Pakistani nationals have been apprehended and their boat seized from the Harami Nala area near the Indo-Pak border on the west coast of Kutch district, BSF officials said here on Monday.

"Two Pakistani men were apprehended by the BSF while patrolling in the Harami Nala region yesterday," BSF Inspector General A K Sinha said to a news agency.

"The boat in which they were travelling has also been seized. Nothing suspicious has been found from the vessel which appears to be a fishing boat," he said.

According to Sinha, the Pakistani boat had entered Indian territory and was moving further inside when the BSF team patrolling in the area apprehended them.

"The two men taken into custody are being interrogated at the joint interrogation centre in Bhuj," he said, adding further investigation in the matter was on.

Earlier this month, the BSF had foiled an infiltration bid by some Pakistani boats that were trying to enter India from the same area.

Harami Nala is a sluggish and shallow water channel in the remotest creek area, spread over 500 sq km and has witnessed many intrusions from Pakistani fishermen in the past.

The marshy topography makes it difficult for troops to react swiftly against infiltration.
