BSF jawan injured in firing on Indo-Bangla border

A BSF jawan was today injured in firing near the Indo-Bangladesh border by assailants who escaped into the neighbouring country, police said.



Bangaon: A BSF jawan was today injured
in firing near the Indo-Bangladesh border by assailants who
escaped into the neighbouring country, police said.

The jawans were chasing a group of men, who were fleeing
after killing a foreign exchange agent in Jayantapur in North
24 Parganas district, when they were fired at, they said.

The miscreants subsequently escaped into Bangladesh,
officials said.

The jawan has been admitted in a hospital here.
